Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (ER Border)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 3x12 Hours (19:30–08:00) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays Required as Scheduled | Start Date: 8/10/2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, high-volume border role supporting ER, Medical Surgical/Telemetry, and IMC border patients within scope of practice
• Manage a wide variety of patient diagnoses, including complex ED admission cases, with an average daily census ranging from 10 to 40 border patients
• Maintain safe and effective care within a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio across a 46-room unit
• Float between ED border areas and Medical Surgical/Telemetry and IMC units as required within specialty and scope
• Adhere to all scheduling requirements including every other weekend and holidays as they fall

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Maryland or valid Compact License at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• CPI certification required (Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in Medical Surgical, Telemetry, IMC, or Emergency Department settings
• Comfort with high-volume, fast-paced border or overflow patient care environments
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
