Two full-time positions are now available for passionate educators who specialize in serving students in resource or vocational/life skills classroom settings. These roles are onsite at a well-respected high school and require the ability to connect, inspire, and foster growth in a supportive academic environment.

Two roles available:

• Math Resource Teacher: Requires Special Education certification and Math certification. Experience with individualized math instruction is essential.
• Academic Vocational Life Skills Teacher: Requires Special Education certification and a core content certification (EC-6 accepted). Experience teaching or supporting students’ life and vocational skills is highly desired.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification for Texas.
• Appropriate content area certification (Math or Core Content/EC-6 depending on role).
• Proven experience in a high school setting, preferably with resource or life skills caseloads.
• Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate effectively with teams.
• Clear communication skills, adaptability, and passion for student success.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering engaging, individualized instruction tailored to each student’s needs.
• Monitoring and documenting student progress toward academic and personal growth goals.
• Collaborating with general education teachers and support staff to create inclusive learning opportunities.
• Managing classroom routines, adapting materials, and ensuring compliance with all relevant policies.
• Engaging families and guardians as partners in their child’s education.
