VP - Real Estate Fund Accounting

A leading global investment management firm is seeking a Vice President to join its Real Estate Fund Accounting team. This position will play a key role in overseeing fund accounting, financial reporting, investor reporting, regulatory filings, and audit coordination for a large-scale real estate investment platform. The ideal candidate will have deep real estate or private equity fund accounting experience, prior supervisory responsibility, and career progression within investment management, public accounting, or fund administration environments. Responsibilities Oversee quarterly and annual fund close processes and related reporting activities Review investment valuations, allocations, capital activity, line of credit activity, and expense allocations Review GAAP financial statements, supporting schedules, and workpapers Oversee investor capital account statements and investor reporting deliverables Review financial reporting for underlying holding companies and SPV entities Coordinate internal and external audit processes, including SOX compliance support Review and maintain waterfall models, management fee calculations, and distribution calculations Oversee preparation of capital call, distribution, and management fee notices Ensure timely and professional responses to investor inquiries Partner closely with treasury, tax, legal, compliance, operations, valuations, and investor reporting teams Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff across multiple locations Support process improvement and technology enhancement initiatives across finance functions Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required CPA preferred 12+ years of real estate fund accounting, private equity fund accounting, Big 4, and/or fund administration experience Prior supervisory or team leadership experience required Strong understanding of GAAP and investment fund structures Experience with investor reporting, audits, and regulatory filings Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong overall technical proficiency Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment #J-18808-Ljbffr Cyperus Group LLC
