Vice President, Fund Accounting About the Company Top-tier provider of financial services Industry Financial Services Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is seeking a Vice President for Fund Accounting to lead and oversee the fund accounting operations for private funds. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate reporting and compliance in a hybrid work environment, driving quarterly closes, audits, and financial reporting for complex investment structures. This role requires close collaboration with investment and operations teams to optimize accounting processes and strategic alignment, as well as the enhancement of reporting accuracy and efficiency through innovative approaches and technical expertise. Key responsibilities include managing fund launches, investments, liquidations, and compliance with SEC custody rules, as well as calculating management fees, incentive fees, and carried interest with precision and timeliness. The role also involves representing accounting perspectives at fund board meetings, fostering team collaboration, and contributing to strategic initiatives and continuous improvement in fund accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, a minimum of 7 years' fund accounting experience, and progress towards CPA certification. Strong communication, analytical, and spreadsheet skills are essential, as is expertise in private funds, hedge funds, or similar investment accounting.
