Vice President, Hedge Fund Credit Risk About the Company Leading financial services company specializing in investment management & research Industry Financial Services Type Public Company About the Role The Company is seeking a Vice President for Hedge Fund Credit Risk Oversight. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing in-depth credit analysis and ongoing risk assessments of hedge fund counterparties within the prime brokerage space. This includes evaluating fund structures, strategies, leverage, liquidity profiles, and risk concentrations. The role also involves approving and monitoring credit limits, margin requirements, and financing terms in accordance with the company's risk appetite, as well as reviewing fund performance and stress scenarios to identify emerging risks. Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and typically 8-12+ years of experience in credit risk, counterparty risk, or prime brokerage risk. A strong understanding of hedge fund strategies, leverage, derivatives, and securities financing is essential, as is proven experience in assessing margining, collateral, and exposure management. The role requires excellent analytical, judgment, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively and influence senior stakeholders. Experience in fast-paced, market-driven environments is also a key requirement. The Vice President will be expected to ensure adherence to internal risk frameworks, policies, and regulatory expectations, and to act as a key risk partner to various teams within the company.
