Dean delivers resilient, secure, and innovative power and technology solutions through engineering expertise and smart systems integration.The Sprinkler Foreman is responsible for leading and executing fire sprinkler system installations, retrofits, and turnkey projects from start to completion. This role supervises field crews, coordinates labor and materials, performs quality control, and ensures systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements. The position requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, a high level of safety awareness, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements including U.S. citizenship for access to classified information. Ability to obtain US Clearance, minimum Top-Secret Clearance.Responsibilities:Lead and supervise fire sprinkler installation and retrofit projects, including turnkey installationsPlan, coordinate, and direct daily field activities for assigned projectsPerform material takeoffs and develop accurate bills of materials (BOM) to support project executionCoordinate material procurement and ensure materials are available to meet project schedulesInstall, modify, and upgrade fire sprinkler systems in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and codesOversee installation, testing, and commissioning of fire pumps and related componentsConduct system testing, flushing, hydrostatic testing, fire pump acceptance testing, and final inspectionsPerform ongoing quality control inspections to ensure work meets company standards, project specifications, and code requirementsIdentify field issues, nonconformances, and constructability concerns; propose corrective actions and solutionsCoordinate with project managers, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades to ensure smooth project executionInterpret construction drawings, shop drawings, submittals, and technical documentationMaintain accurate project documentation, redlines, as-built drawings, and test recordsTrain, mentor, and supervise fitters and junior techniciansEnforce safety requirements and promote a strong culture of safety on all job sitesEnsure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and site-specific safety programsManage tools, equipment, and job-site housekeepingWork effectively under pressure while managing schedules, labor resources, and project deadlines.We offer an excellent benefits package including:A competitive salaryMedical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurancePaid time offTuition reimbursement401k Retirement PlanMilitary Reserve pay offsetPaid maternity leaveQualifications:High school diploma or GED required.Minimum of 10 years of fire sprinkler system installation, design, or prefabrication experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.This position has been identified as requiring an additional client background check.Required Skills and Competencies:Strong technical knowledge of fire sprinkler system installation and retrofit practicesProven experience installing, testing, and commissioning fire pumpsAbility to perform material takeoffs and assemble accurate bills of materialsStrong quality control mindset with attention to detail and workmanshipHigh level of safety awareness and commitment to safe work practicesAbility to lead field crews and coordinate multiple work activitiesStrong planning, organization, and time-management skillsAbility to multitask and adapt to changing project conditionsAbility to work under stress and meet tight construction schedulesStrong communication skills with field teams, customers, and project stakeholdersStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsRequired Qualifications:Experience as a Sprinkler Foreman, Lead Fitter, or equivalent roleProven experience with fire sprinkler system installation, retrofit, and turnkey projectsHands-on experience with fire pump installation, testing, and commissioningKnowledge of applicable NFPA standards (including NFPA 13, NFPA 20, and NFPA 25) and local codesValid driver's license with acceptable driving recordAbility to pass background checks and meet site-specific access requirementsCertification:Posses NICET Level II in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems orObtain NICET Level II in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems within 90 days of employment.NICET Level III in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems (Preferred)Preferred Qualifications:Fire pump certification and/or manufacturer training (preferred)Experience coordinating AHJ inspections and fire pump acceptance testingPrior experience training or mentoring installation personnelWorking Conditions:Field-based role with work performed at construction and customer job sitesMay require travel, flexible hours, and overtime based on project schedulesWork involves ladders, lifts, confined spaces, heavy materials, and physical laborAbilities:The position requires the ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to [50 pounds] on a regular basis. Candidates must demonstrate physical strength and stamina to perform various tasks, including but not limited to, loading, and unloading, operating equipment, and assisting in the transportation of various materials. Proper lifting techniques and safety protocols must be followed to ensure personal and team safety.Relocates a 12 foot stepladder without assistance.Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders.Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.Tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
