Physical Therapist (PT)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist to join our outpatient rehabilitation team. This position involves providing quality patient care through assessment, treatment, and education, supporting patients' rehabilitation journey in an outpatient physical therapy setting.

Schedule and Hours

• 5 days a week, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday OR
• 4 days a week, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• 40 hours per week
• No on-call or weekend requirements

Key Responsibilities

1. Patient Care Assessment and Treatment:
   • Conduct initial evaluations and assess motor and developmental skills to identify deficits.
   • Evaluate each patient's physical and mental capabilities and design an appropriate rehabilitation plan.
   • Maintain and document patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant regulations.
   • Facilitate patient mobility and manage equipment used in treatments.
   • Adapt treatment plans and environments to enhance functional mobility.
2. Customer Service:
   
   
   • Address client concerns proactively and ensure their needs are met.
   • Educate patients and their families on treatment procedures and skills for continued care at home.
   • Implement activities to assist patients in learning mobility skills and adapting to their challenges.
3. Team Collaboration:
   
   
   • Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
   • Provide clinical education and mentorship to students and new employees.
   • Supervise and guide physical therapist assistants and support staff as needed.
4. Professional Development:
   
   
   • Stay current with the latest techniques and best practices in physical therapy.
   • Engage in continuous education and quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• North Carolina Board of Physical Therapy license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in physical therapy required.
• Travel experience is required; EPIC experience is preferred.

Patient Care Model

Provide individualized care, scheduling one patient per hour to ensure focused, one-on-one treatment. Occasionally, two evaluations may be scheduled per day, but double-booking is rare.
