Physical Therapist (PT)

Full-time options available:

• 5x8 hour shifts, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM, Monday Friday
• 4 days per week, 7:00 AM 5:30 PM

Job Overview

The physical therapist will be responsible for providing assessment and treatment to patients in an outpatient setting. The focus will be on one-on-one therapy, ensuring that patients receive individualized care with a patient scheduling rate of one patient per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial patient evaluations and assessments.
• Evaluate motor and developmental skills to determine treatment deficits.
• Analyze data to develop realistic rehabilitation plans.
• Maintain confidential patient records and document prognosis, treatment, and progress in medical records.
• Facilitate patient mobility skills using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Adapt environments and materials to promote functional mobility.
• Provide 1:1 therapy while ensuring timely physician communication and up-to-date documentation.

Customer Service

• Resolve client concerns proactively and ensure effective communication.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment procedures and home care techniques.
• Train caregivers in ways to assist patients during and after therapy.
• Promote activities to help patients learn mobility skills within their capabilities.

Teamwork and Collaboration

• Coordinate training for families and medical professionals.
• Provide clinical education for students and team members.
• Consult with the rehabilitation team to coordinate therapy with other activities.
• Support colleagues and offer mentorship as needed.
• Facilitate multi-disciplinary collaboration and orientation for new employees.

Professional Development

• Maintain clinical competencies and seek opportunities for growth.
• Participate in continuing education to ensure adherence to best practices.
• Arrange education and training for new equipment and techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
• Travel experience is mandatory.
• EPIC experience is preferred.
• NC Board of PT license required.
