Our team has executed 20+ insurance transactions representing billions in insurance-dedicated assets, and currently manages approximately $700 million in AUM, offering clients a differentiated approach to ALM-oriented yield, portfolio construction, and long-term compounding.

OVERVIEW ON JOB

Reporting directly to the Managing Director and Head of Capital Formation and Originations, the Associate will play a central role in expanding 42 AM's investor network and supporting capital formation across the firm's investment strategies, co-investments, and transaction-specific opportunities. The position is focused on developing relationships with family offices, ultra-high-net-worth investors, wealth managers, and other strategic capital partners; converting those relationships into an active pipeline; and helping drive opportunities from initial outreach through diligence and closing. In addition to relationship development, the Associate will prepare and maintain fundraising and diligence materials, manage the flow of investor requests, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure prospective and existing investors receive timely, accurate, and complete information throughout the capital-raising and closing process.

This is a highly visible, external-facing role requiring exceptional communication, judgment, organization, and follow-through. The Associate will regularly represent 42 AM at investor meetings, family office and private markets conferences, and industry events while working closely with senior leadership, the Investment Team, Finance, Legal, and Compliance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain relationships with family offices, ultra-high-net-worth investors, wealth managers, and other prospective capital partners.
• Build and manage a qualified fundraising pipeline through proactive outreach, referrals, conferences, investor events, and disciplined follow-up.
• Research investors and conference attendees in advance, schedule targeted meetings, represent 42 AM professionally, and convert relevant relationships into active diligence and capital commitments.
• Understand each investor's mandate, objectives, and portfolio needs and match appropriate investors with relevant firm strategies and transaction-specific opportunities.
• Support senior leadership in presenting 42 AM's platform, funds, co-investments, and independent sponsor transactions to prospective and existing investors.
• Create, edit, and maintain investor presentations, teasers, investment summaries, investor updates, and other marketing and fundraising materials in partnership with the Investment Team.
• Coordinate investor outreach, roadshows, meetings, diligence, data room access, subscriptions, onboarding, and closing processes.
• Own the tracking and execution of investor requests and due diligence items through completion, coordinating input from internal teams and following up to close open items.
• Prepare due diligence questionnaires (DDQs) and coordinate accurate, timely responses to investor and consultant diligence requests.
• Maintain complete and accurate CRM records, fundraising activity reports, pipeline updates, and a consistent investor follow-up process.
• Provide high-quality communication and relationship coverage to existing investors and support ongoing investor reporting.
• Assist with sourcing investment opportunities across private credit, commercial mortgages, middle-market private equity, and special situations by developing relationships with bankers, brokers, business owners, independent sponsors, lenders, and other intermediaries.
• Maintain a centralized library of approved fundraising materials, standardized DDQ responses, data points, and supporting documentation.
• Complete special projects and other capital formation and investor relations responsibilities as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Communications, or a related field.
• Three to six years of relevant experience in capital formation, investor relations, private wealth, private equity, private credit, investment banking, or alternative asset management.
• Experience developing relationships with family offices, ultra-high-net-worth investors, wealth managers, or other private-market investors strongly preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage sophisticated investors and senior executives.
• Strong understanding of private-market investment structures and the ability to communicate complex opportunities clearly.
• Highly organized, persistent, entrepreneurial, and comfortable initiating new relationships and managing long fundraising cycles.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and CRM systems.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly for conferences, investor meetings, and industry events. xhyhwjd

COMPENSATION AND BENEITS

Compensation:

• Base Salary: $125,000 to $150,000 (commensurate with experience)
• Meaningful annual performance-based bonus
