About the Position

Job Title: Surgical Support Aide Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Surgical Process Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 1 year of customer service experience required License: Must have a PERMANENT Ohio license or compact license in hand at time of submission. Certifications: BLS certification required. Must-Have: - High school diploma or GED. - Active and required certifications must be in hand at time of submission. Description: This position involves working as a Surgical Support Aide. The role requires lifting heavy items, transporting patients, and cleaning/turning over rooms. Candidates must have 1 full year of customer service experience. Orientation will include working the first shift to become familiar with the unit. An ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate will be completed during orientation. Acceptable scores on both assessments are required. Travelers will receive a maximum of 2 attempts to pass these assessments. All required certifications must be current and valid prior to submission. Background checks will be thoroughly reviewed, and no open cases will be accepted. Candidates must be nicotine-free, with a negative drug screen required within the last 12 months. This position is not open to those who have been permanent or per diem candidates within the past year.
