Job Title: Envelope Converting Equipment Adjuster Location: Grand Prairie, TX Job Summary: Goelzer Envelopes is seeking an experienced Envelope Converting Adjuster to set up, adjust, troubleshoot, and optimize high-speed envelope converting equipment. This role is responsible for maximizing equipment efficiency, maintaining quality standards, supporting smooth changeovers, and reducing production downtime. Key Responsibilities: Set up and adjust envelope converting equipment for production runs. Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and operational issues during production. Optimize machine speeds while maintaining product quality and consistency. Perform changeovers and fine adjustments for folds, gum, windows, seams, and related specifications. Train and assist machine operators on setup, adjustments, quality checks, and safe operating practices. Inspect finished product to ensure customer specifications and internal quality standards are met. Work closely with maintenance, production, and quality teams to improve uptime and performance. Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout requirements, and production procedures. Qualifications: 3+ years of experience adjusting envelope converting equipment preferred. Knowledge of W+D, F.L. Smithe, or similar converting equipment strongly preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting ability. Ability to read production orders, job specifications, and quality requirements. Experience in envelope, print, paper converting, or packaging manufacturing preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Preferred Skills: Preventive maintenance knowledge. Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience. Root cause analysis and process improvement skills.
