Our mission is guided by our Strategic Principles and has three critical components; patient care, education and research that together enhance our contribution to society.## Responsibilities\\*The Cardiovascular ICU (CVC 4) is a 24-bed adult intensive care unit caring for patients who have recently undergone cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery. This unit specializes in coronary artery bypass, heart and lung transplantation, heart valve repair, ventricular assist devices and esophageal procedures as well as carotid re-vascularization and aneurysm repairs. Staff members collaborate with the Advanced Practice Team and are involved with patient/family conferences, patient care rounds, and referrals. Perform Charge nurse responsibilities as assigned.
