Assistant Director of Nursing

Bethesda Health seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing to support clinical leadership in our senior care community. This role helps oversee daily nursing operations, ensuring high-quality, person-centered care that reflects our faith-based mission. Responsibilities include supervising nursing staff, supporting care planning and assessments, monitoring clinical quality and regulatory compliance, and partnering with the Director of Nursing on policies, education, and staffing. The Assistant DON collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, supports families, and fosters a culture of compassion, dignity, and respect for residents and team members. Responsibilities Support the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily nursing operations and clinical standards Supervise, mentor, and schedule nursing staff to ensure adequate coverage and performance Assist with resident assessments, care planning, and ongoing clinical review Monitor quality indicators, infection control, and adherence to policies and regulations Participate in surveys, audits, and performance improvement initiatives Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate person-centered resident care Serve as a clinical resource to staff, residents, and families, promoting effective communication Support orientation, training, and ongoing education for nursing team members Help manage incident reporting, follow-up, and corrective action plans Promote Bethesda Health's mission, values, and a respectful, compassionate work environment Required Skills Staff supervision Clinical assessment Care planning Regulatory compliance (CMS/state) Electronic health records (EHR) Infection prevention and control Quality improvement Scheduling and staffing Incident reporting and investigation Interdisciplinary team collaboration #J-18808-Ljbffr Bethesda Health Group
