Machinist – CNC & Manual

Salisbury, NC | $25–$32/hour | 1st Shift

We are looking for an experienced Machinist in Salisbury, NC who can independently set up and operate CNC and manual lathes and mills in a low-volume manufacturing environment.

This is a hands-on machining position, not a production machine operator role. The ideal candidate enjoys working on different parts, handling their own setups, and producing precision components.

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate CNC and manual lathes and mills.
• Machine precision parts in a low-volume, high-mix environment.
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Write, edit, and troubleshoot CNC programs.
• Select tooling and determine proper speeds and feeds.
• Perform machine setups and changeovers independently.
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
• Work closely with fabrication, welding, and assembly teams.
• Maintain quality, safety, and production standards.

What We're Looking For

• 3–5+ years of hands-on machining experience.
• Must have experience setting up and running lathes and mills.
• Must have low-volume or job shop machining experience.
• Experience with both CNC and manual machines.
• Ability to perform setups independently, not just operate machines.
• CNC programming and editing experience; Fanuc preferred.
• Strong blueprint reading skills, including basic GD&T.
• Knowledge of tooling, speeds, feeds, and precision measurements.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Pay: $25–$32 per hour, based on experience
• Shift: 1st Shift
• Location: Salisbury, NC
