RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Acute Med Surg Acute Care

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with start times between 6:45-7:15 AM or PM
• Every other weekend rotation with permanent staff
• Patient ratios of 1:6 for both day and night shifts
• 14-bed unit specializing in diabetic, CHF, COPD, GI bleed, renal failure, dialysis overflow, post-surgical patients, amputations, debridements, wound care, DVTs, ETOH, and psych patients
• Administer medications including Lasix, Bumex, and Heparin
• Use CPAP equipment and BIPAP at night only
• Work with CNA support at 1:12 ratios, though CNAs may be pulled for 1:1 sitters
• Chart using MEDITECH system
• Minimum 2 years of acute med surg experience and 1 travel assignment required
• Must have experience with high acuity, high turnover, and fast-paced environment
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS
• ACLS preferred
• Strict attendance policy enforced
• Professional dress code: Caribbean blue top and bottom, white top with Caribbean blue bottom, or all white
• Nails must be polished only - no artificial or shellac nails due to infection control policies
• No bags allowed at nurses station, lockers available with personal locks
• 75-mile radius rule enforced
• Cancellation policy allows 12 hours every 2 weeks
• Float to other acute care units and cardio as needed
