Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a dynamic educational environment supporting students as a paraprofessional for the upcoming academic year. Full-time contract opportunities are available, beginning in August and extending throughout the entire school year, with the possibility to renew for those who are a strong match. Extended School Year (ESY) work is also an option.
Openings include seven positions working with elementary students (K-5) with emotional, behavioral, communication, and cognitive needs; two positions supporting secondary students (grades 6-12) with emotional and behavioral challenges; and one Personal Care Assistant (PCA) position for those with a medical background.
Desired Experience & Skills:
- Prior experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar 1:1 support role preferred
- Comfort and skill in supporting students with emotional, behavioral, communication, and/or cognitive needs
- For the PCA opening, a medical background is required
- Ability to build positive relationships and foster student engagement
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, and families
- Patience, flexibility, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Key Responsibilities:
- Work directly with assigned students, providing individualized support throughout the school day
- Assist with implementing behavior plans, academic modifications, and communication strategies as directed by classroom teachers or specialists
- Track student progress and communicate updates to the educational team
- Support students’ participation in classroom activities, extracurriculars, and routines
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school and legal policies
