Together, we create an environment where you can grow, contribute, and help improve the experience and outcomes for every patient we serve.**About the Role**As an Insurance Biller at Quincy Medical Group, you will play a key role in supporting the organization's revenue cycle by ensuring insurance claims are submitted accurately and reimbursed in a timely manner. Working closely with insurance companies, providers, coders, and internal revenue cycle teams, you will manage claims throughout the billing process, research denials, resolve payment issues, and help maximize reimbursement.This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with detailed information, and contributing to the financial health of a healthcare organization while supporting exceptional patient care.**Schedule & Work Environment*** Full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, daytime hours.* Position based in Quincy, Illinois.* Hybrid work schedule option after six months of successful employment and proficiency in the role.* Professional office environment supporting revenue cycle operations.**Primary Responsibilities*** Submit electronic and paper insurance claims accurately and within established filing deadlines.* Review claims for completeness and accuracy prior to submission.* Monitor claim status and follow up with insurance carriers regarding unpaid, denied, or underpaid claims.* Research and resolve billing discrepancies, denials, rejections, and payment variances.* Correct claim errors and coordinate resubmissions when appropriate.* Communicate with insurance companies, providers, coders, and internal departments to resolve claim issues.* Maintain accurate documentation of billing activities and payer communications.* Stay current on payer guidelines, reimbursement policies, and regulatory requirements.* Monitor assigned work queues to ensure timely claim resolution and reimbursement.* Identify trends that impact reimbursement and recommend process improvements.* Maintain compliance with HIPAA, payer regulations, and organizational policies.* Perform other duties as assigned to support revenue cycle operations.**Qualifications*** High school diploma or GED required.* Previous experience in medical billing, insurance follow-up, revenue cycle, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred.* Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, ICD-10, and insurance claim processes preferred.* Experience working with electronic medical records and healthcare billing systems preferred.* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.* Strong written and verbal communication skills.* Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer applications.* Commitment to providing excellent internal and external customer service.**Benefits*** Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits that include healthcare navigation assistance.* Access to a mental health benefit at no cost.* Employer provided life and disability insurance.* $5,250 Tuition Reimbursement per year.* Immediate 401(k) match.* 40 hours paid volunteer time off.* A culture committed to community engagement and social impact.* Up to 12 weeks parental leave at 100% pay and a financial benefit for adoption and surrogacy for non-physician team members once eligibility requirements are met.The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of **$16.12 - $24.18 per hour**, with actual pay determined by experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
