Facilities Support TechnicianThe Facilities Support Technician supports the day-to-day operation, maintenance, safety, and appearance of the workplace. This role works closely with the Facilities and Operations teams to coordinate maintenance activities, respond to employee and facility needs, manage vendors and supplies, and help ensure the workplace remains safe, organized, functional, and welcoming.The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, service-oriented, and comfortable handling a variety of administrative and hands-on operational responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesFacilities & Workplace OperationsSupport daily facility operations and help maintain a clean, safe, organized, and professional workplace.Conduct routine walkthroughs to identify maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and operational concerns.Submit, track, and follow up on maintenance and repair requests.Assist with basic troubleshooting of workplace equipment, furniture, fixtures, and facility systems.Coordinate office moves, furniture setups, meeting room configurations, and workspace changes.Help prepare facilities for meetings, events, visitors, and other workplace activities.Respond promptly and professionally to employee facility requests.Maintenance & Vendor CoordinationCoordinate scheduling and site access for maintenance technicians, contractors, cleaners, and other service providers.Communicate with vendors regarding service requests, scheduling, and completion of work.Monitor vendor performance and escalate service issues when appropriate.Maintain organized records of service visits, work orders, inspections, and facility-related documentation.Assist with obtaining quotes and maintaining information related to facility vendors and services.Supplies & InventoryMonitor inventory levels for janitorial, maintenance, and facility supplies.Place or coordinate supply orders as needed.Receive deliveries and ensure supplies and equipment are stored appropriately.Maintain organized storage, supply, and common areas.Assist with tracking facility assets, equipment, keys, access cards, and other workplace resources.Safety & SecuritySupport workplace safety procedures and help identify and report potential hazards.Safely handle, store, and use chemicals and dispose of waste in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS), company procedures, and applicable regulations.Assist with emergency preparedness activities, inspections, and safety documentation.Support building access, visitor procedures, keys, badges, and related security processes as assigned.Help ensure facility policies and procedures are followed.Escalate urgent maintenance, security, or safety concerns to the appropriate team member.Administrative SupportMaintain facility calendars, records, checklists, work orders, and other operational documentation.Communicate facility updates, maintenance notices, and service interruptions to employees when needed.Support special projects and other operational initiatives as assigned.Perform other duties as assigned.Experience/Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant technical training preferred.1–3 years of experience in facilities, workplace operations, office operations, property management, hospitality, maintenance coordination, or a related field preferred.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Ability to prioritize multiple requests and follow tasks through to completion.Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.Clear written and verbal communication skills.Comfortable working with vendors, contractors, employees, and building management.Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, work-order systems, or similar workplace technology.Ability to exercise good judgment and appropriately escalate facility and safety concerns.Basic knowledge of workplace safety and facility maintenance practices is a plus.Physical RequirementsAbility to move throughout the facility regularly during the workday.Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform hands-on facility tasks.Ability to lift, push, pull, and move supplies, boxes, furniture, and equipment of varying weights, including items exceeding 50 pounds, using appropriate equipment or team assistance as needed, with or without reasonable accommodation.Ability to respond to facility needs that may require periods of physical activity.
