Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: September 14, 2026
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Every other weekend required; Day shift 1:4 patient ratio (stretch staffing 1:5); Float to progressive care, medical-surgical, and emergency holding areas as needed

Highlights:

• 40-bed progressive cardiac care unit specializing in CHF, MI, arrhythmias, pulmonary hypertension, valvular disease, and post-procedural cardiac patients
• Manage post-cardiac catheterization, stent, pacemaker, ICD, and ablation patients with telemetry monitoring
• Experience with titratable cardiac IV drips including nitroglycerin, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine, dobutamine, insulin, and heparin
• Utilize Cerner EMR, Zoll equipment, Baxter pumps, and standard progressive care technology
• Collaborative team environment with designated charge nurses, PCTs, and unit support staff on each shift
• Opportunities for relief charge experience and specialized prostacyclin medication management

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina RN license or compact state license
• Progressive care or step-down nursing experience required
• Telemetry monitoring experience required
• Demonstrated competency with cardiac IV medications and titratable drips
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Flexible, positive, team-oriented professional with compassionate patient care approach
