Responsibilities Midwest Center for Youth and Families is seeking caring and compassionate House Supervisors to join our team! Available Hours: Monday - Friday, 3pm - 11:30pm (nonexempt/hourly position) Midwest Center for Youth and Families (a subsidiary of UHS) has been in operation since 1997, serving youth across the country that are in need of psychiatric treatment for variety of mental health issues. The Midwest Center is a respected healthcare provider, fully accredited, 74-bed private, residential treatment facility with locations in Valparaiso and Kouts, IN. We are dedicated to care of the hearts and minds of our patients with compassion and superior quality behavioral healthcare services through our full-immersion Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program for children and adolescents ages 10 - 18 who struggle with emotional, behavioral and mental health challenges. The Patriot Support Program at Midwest Center offers specialized treatment designed to address the behavioral health needs and challenges of the children of active-duty military, reserve, and national guard members. Website: Position Summary: The House Supervisor is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practices, and Facility policies, goals & objectives. This position assists in contributing to the philosophy, educational, and performance improvement efforts while providing supervision to milieu staff. The House Supervisor collaborates closely with the Program Director. Job Duties/Responsibilities •Ensure staff deliver care in accordance with established standards of care & practice •Monitor & coach staff for implementation of policies & procedures •Ensure unit compliance with the Joint Commission, State and other regulatory standards & patient rights •Evaluate program effectiveness & help formulate plans for improvement •Manage staff work schedules & compliance with policy •Complete staff evaluations & training within specified timeframes •Counsel & utilize disciplinary action as necessary in coordination with HR •Assist HR with interviewing candidates as needed •Continually evaluate staff activities, morale, & interpresonal relationships. Promote healthy work-life balance & solutions for improvement in these areas •Assist in providing education &/or traiing for staff when gaps in clinical knowledge are identified. Two years of supervision work experience required.
