Line Cook

Duties

• Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
• Execute food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients efficiently and accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols
• Assist with menu planning by providing input on dish presentation and ingredient selection to enhance customer satisfaction
• Support the team during busy service hours by managing multiple orders simultaneously with precision
• Handle food handling responsibilities responsibly, including proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety

Experience

• Previous experience working as a line cook or in a similar food industry role is highly preferred
• Demonstrated culinary experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant settings is advantageous
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques are essential for success in this role
• Familiarity with dietary department standards and dietary aide experience is a plus for accommodating special dietary needs
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, proper food handling procedures, and sanitation practices is required
• Experience in catering or large-scale meal preparation can be beneficial for supporting diverse service needs
• A background in restaurant service environments with a focus on quality food presentation and customer satisfaction will help you excel
