Scientist III, Bioinformatics, Upstream Process Development

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Bioinformatics Scientist to support upstream process development for cell culture media design. The role combines machine learning, omics data analysis, and metabolic modeling to optimize bioproduction processes for CHO and HEK cells.
Responsibilities
- Apply machine learning and metabolic flux analysis to guide cell culture media development and process optimization
- Manage multi-omics data integration, documentation, and report preparation for research projects
- Analyze experimental data independently, interpret results, and present findings to team members
- Develop computational models and omics approaches to address bioprocessing challenges
Requirements
- Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Cell Biology, or related field; PhD preferred
- At least three years of related bioinformatics or upstream process development experience
- Proficiency in Python or R programming languages
- Experience with machine learning, statistical modeling, and multi-omics data integration
- Knowledge of pathway enrichment, network analysis, and omics interpretation
- Strong understanding of molecular and cellular biology fundamentals
Compensation: $87,200–$116,200 base
