What You'll Do:

• Provide post-anesthesia and recovery care for patients of all ages in a high-volume PACU setting
• Support patients following major surgical procedures, including pediatric and adult populations
• Float to pediatric PACU as needed, caring for patients in pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II recovery
• Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and respond to emergent needs
• Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts, bladder scanners, and Accuvein as required
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient recovery
• Support regional anesthesia, ECT, and other specialized procedures

What You Need:

• Valid Louisiana RN license or appropriate state licensure
• ACLS, BCLS, and PALS certifications (current)
• At least 1 year of PACU or Pre/Post Op nursing experience; critical care experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable floating to pediatric PACU as needed

About the Assignment:

This role is based in a busy, multi-specialty surgical unit supporting all surgical and procedural populations, including pediatrics. The department handles a high volume of cases across 34 operating rooms, providing a dynamic environment for skilled nurses. You will care for patients undergoing various surgeries requiring postoperative recovery, pre-op, and pre/post anesthesia care, utilizing specialized equipment and adhering to strict safety protocols.
