What You'll Do

• Provide direct patient care on a telemetry unit, managing post-operative and acute care patients.
• Monitor patients with conditions such as sepsis, cellulitis, DVT/PE, CHF, COPD, COVID, PNA, and post-op overflow (including total joints and GI surgeries).
• Administer medications and treatments including wound management, JP drains, wound vacs, and hemodialysis catheters.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including hospitalists, RT, OT, PT, and ST, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech Expanse EMR.
• Support float team by covering various Med/Surg units as needed.
• Follow hospital protocols and maintain compliance with safety standards.

What You Need
Required:

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or multi-state compact license
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications (current)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in acute care settings
• Ability to pass EKG competency exam in Med/Surg environment
• Experience with wound care, IV management, and hemodialysis care

Preferred:

• Telemetry or Cardiac unit experience
• Prior experience in a hospital setting with diverse patient populations
