LSSI is hiring a full-time ACT Lead , Monday through Friday. Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team on the Northwest side of Chicago. ACT Services consist of integrated crisis, treatment and rehabilitative supports provided by an interdisciplinary team to individuals with serious and persistent mental illness or co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. ACT Services are intended to promote symptom stability, management of co‑morbid health conditions, and appropriate use of psychotropic medications, as well as to restore personal care, community living, work and social skills. ACT Services encompass counseling and therapy, medication management and monitoring, skill building, and crisis stabilization services. ACT Services focus on the restoration of functional skills (e.g., psychosocial, adaptive, self‑care) to promote and maintain community living. Team Leaders supervise 4-10 team members as they provide mental health and case management services in the community. This includes sharing case management duties with the team and providing guidance to the team ensuring they provide client‑centered, strengths‑based, and trauma‑informed services to clients with severe mental health and co‑occurring substance use disorders utilizing a harm reduction approach. Team Leaders oversee the overarching goals of the program. They assist in establishing and maintaining community partnerships. Benefits and Perks LSSI is growing! The paid training you need to learn, grow, and succeed! Essential Functions Provide direct clinical supervision, training, support, review, and evaluation for assigned staff. Participate in supervisory duties, including but not limited to on‑boarding and off‑boarding of staff. Provide and coordinate a continuum of client treatment services. Carry a caseload of clients providing supportive counseling and concrete services and collaborate with other internal and external programs and treatment providers in order to provide these services. Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner and meets Rule 140/132 and/or MCO requirements, including crisis plan assessments and intake documentation. Comply with documentation and productivity standards. Transport clients in personal or agency vehicle. Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest, and fair manner. Position Qualifications Master’s in social services or related field required. LSW/LPC required; LCSW/LCPC preferred. IM+CANS assessments and certification required. Biohazard training required. One (1) to three (3) years of clinical experience, working with mental health and/or substance use population, preferred. One (1) to three (3) years of increasing leadership responsibility preferred. Trained and proficient Electronic Health Record documentation and review required. Experience leading groups preferred. Experience in crisis intervention and de‑escalation preferred. Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, verbally and written. Excellent organization, presentation, and pc/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software. Background check clearance required. Valid driver’s license, in good standing for the state of residency required. Access to reliable transportation required. Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury, and property damage required.
