Location: West Lafayette, Indiana

Project Duration: Minimum 8 weeks

Schedule: 6 days per week, 12-hour shifts

We are seeking an experienced Site Safety Manager to oversee and enforce safety protocols on an active construction project in West Lafayette, IN. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local safety regulations while promoting a strong safety culture on-site. The position requires a proactive, hands-on professional capable of managing safety in a fast-paced environment with extended work hours.

• Implement and enforce site-specific safety plans and procedures
• Conduct daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site orientations
• Monitor job site activities to ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
• Identify hazards, perform risk assessments, and implement corrective actions
• Lead incident investigations and prepare detailed reports
• Maintain accurate safety documentation, including inspections, permits, and training records
• Coordinate with project management, subcontractors, and field personnel on safety matters
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment at all times
• Conduct regular site audits and inspections
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related issues

• Minimum 5+ years of construction safety experience (industrial or commercial preferred)
• OSHA 30-hour certification required (OSHA 500/510 preferred)
• CPR/First Aid certified (or ability to obtain)
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices
• Proven ability to enforce safety standards in high-production environments
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work extended hours (12-hour shifts, 6 days/week)
• Experience with safety reporting systems and documentation

• Ability to walk job sites for extended periods
• Comfortable working in various weather conditions
• Ability to climb ladders, access elevated areas, and navigate active construction zones

• $50-60/hr plus OT over 40 hours
• Daily Per diem (if applicable)
• Potential for project extension or future assignments
