Commercial Flooring Installer Job SummaryWe are looking for enthusiastic and hardworking Union Flooring Installers to join our Commercial Installation team. Experience is always a plus, but we will give opportunities to the right candidates to go through the union Apprentice program. You will install a variety of flooring materials such as, carpet tile, broadloom carpet, sheet vinyl, luxury vinyl plank, VCT, stair treads, and more. Candidates with experience in flooring installation, and/or commercial construction is preferred.Flooring Installer Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssess work sites to determine possible issues and make recommendations accordinglyPrepare surfaces for installation by removing old hardware like screws and boltsUse hand and power tools to install flooring materials according to client specificationsWork alongside other installers while emphasizing safety and efficient use of time and materialsInspect finished work to ensure customer satisfaction and the highest possible standards of workFlooring Installer Requirements and QualificationsA high school diploma or GED certificateFloor Covering experience preferredPhysical stamina and the ability to lift upwards of 50 poundsReliable transportationKeen attention to detailQualified individuals must be able to pass a post offer drug test and background check.ScheduleSchedules very, but most of the time it is Monday through Friday 6am – 2pm.
