Lead Cook at Providence Little Company of Mary Torrance in Torrance, CA. This position is a Full-time and will work 8-hour, Day shifts.

The position performs lead role in overseeing work of Cooks, Grill Cooks, and Food Service Workers. Prepares, seasons and cooks food for hospital patients, employees and visitors.

Required Qualifications:

• Within 30 days of hire: National Food Handler Card - State County City Authority
• 1 year cooking experience in large scale, healthcare, or similar institutional food service.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in related field or culinary school, or equivalent educ/experience
• Coursework/Training: Advanced training in culinary systems and practices.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
