Business Information Consultant - Post-Acute Solutions Support

Job Title: Business Information Consultant – Post-Acute Solutions Support Location: Chicago, IL or Hanover, MD – This role requires associates to be in‑office 1‑2 days per week with flexibility for virtual work. Candidates must be within a reasonable commuting distance from the office unless a legal accommodation is granted. Note: This position is not eligible for current or future visa sponsorship. Responsibilities Act as an expert in data analysis, reporting, and formulating recommendations, while providing guidance to other data analysts. Perform routine diagnostic analyses of quality, usage, cost, and other variables to identify opportunities. Develop and analyze business performance reports for claims data, provider data, and utilization data, noting deviations and anomalies. Create and publish periodic and ad‑hoc reports as needed. Execute identification and stratification algorithms to select the right members for targeted solutions. Provide analytic consultation to business areas, leadership, and external customers. Minimum Requirements BS/BA degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experience Working experience with Python, R, or equivalent analytical tools. Proficiency with Teradata, SQL, Snowflake, or equivalent database tools. Experience applying statistical/analytical methods (e.g., profiling, experimental design, regression analysis) to solve research and practical problems. Substantial analytical experience in the healthcare industry is preferred. Familiarity with medical management or population health programs and a strong understanding of actuarial principles and managed care operations. Knowledge of healthcare data and measurement standards such as ICD10, CPT/HCPCS, MS-DRG, DxCG, PMPM, and utilization per 1,000. Advanced SQL and Excel skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to present meaningful results to a business audience, and experience presenting to large multi‑disciplinary audiences. Experience designing modeling studies, working with data models, addressing data quality issues in study design, and constructing robust and efficient analytical data sets. Salary & Location Salary range: $96,264 to $151,272 – based on location, work experience, education, and skill level.
