Fuel Maintenance Manager - DFW Market

OverviewThe Fuel Maintenance Manager is responsible for the planning and oversight of all fuel system maintenance activities within their assigned locations. This includes the coordination of reactionary maintenance, preventative maintenance, and special projects as needed. Candidates must have previous fuel system maintenance experience and possess excellent management and organizational skills in order to be considered for this position.This position supports the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) market and will be home-based from the closest Buc-ee’s Travel Center.25 Days PTOMedical * Dental * Vision401k 100% Match up to 6%The essential job functions include, but are not limited to:Identify current and future fuel system maintenance needsCollaborate with management and support staff to develop scope of work, request quotes, identify the appropriate contractor, schedule and oversee repairs, and follow up on contractor performancePerform periodic walk-through inspections of fuel system equipment to ensure operability and reliability standards are met and to identify additional maintenance needsManage the work of assigned Buc-ee’s Fuel System TechniciansProvide direct oversight of third-party service technicians in the field and ensure repairs are performed in a cost-effective mannerIdentify cost saving strategies by compiling and evaluating maintenance tracking system data and other available information, and provide recommendations to the Director of Environmental, Health, and Safety for reducing overall maintenance costsThoroughly review and approve invoices from third-party contractors (under the current capital expenditure threshold) to ensure costs are necessary, appropriate, and in line with the scope of work and/or established service level agreementsTrack open fuel maintenance work orders to ensure repairs are completed on timeMaintain effective relationships with contractors; conduct evaluations of contractor performance and identify and communicate necessary improvementsWork directly with Operations to identify the training needs of store maintenance personnel in performing routine fuel system repairs and coordinate necessary trainingIdentify new and emerging fuel system technologies and tools which will heighten technical performance, improve the customer experience, reduce costs, or increase reliability.It is an essential function of this job for the employee to work in office/in the employee’s assigned work site.
