The Opportunity
Greenwich House is seeking a dynamic, organized, and collaborative Program Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of the Lifelong Skills and Opportunity Center, a program serving older adults navigating changing economic, employment, educational, and retirement-related needs.
The Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating program logistics, scheduling, community partnerships, workshops, data management, and administrative operations to ensure high-quality, participant-centered services. Working closely with the Older Adult Transition Specialist, Administrative Assistant, and Older Adult Network (OAN) Directors, the Coordinator helps implement innovative programming that promotes lifelong learning, financial stability, workforce participation, and successful retirement transitions.
Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day operations of the Lifelong Skills and Opportunity Center in collaboration with the Older Adult Transition Specialist and Administrative Assistant.
- Support implementation of program goals, strategic priorities, and work plans established by the Director of Community Services.
- Ensure program activities comply with organizational policies, grant requirements, and service standards.
- Collaborate with OAN Directors to coordinate educational classes, workshops, and participant-centered programming.
- Develop and maintain program calendars, schedules, and workshop logistics.
- Coordinate workshop set-up, including meeting space, technology, materials, and participant support.
- Schedule, confirm, and communicate with guest speakers, instructors, and facilitators.
- Maintain ongoing communication with community partners and coordinate their participation in program activities.
- Represent the program at community meetings, outreach events, and collaborative initiatives.
- Support outreach efforts designed to increase participant enrollment, engagement, and retention.
Program Operations and Administrative Responsibilities
- Coordinate scheduling, facility use, technology needs, and operational logistics to ensure smooth program delivery.
- Work collaboratively with the Administrative Assistant to manage participant registration, communications, and materials preparation.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, confidentiality standards, and data management procedures.
- Compile program data and prepare reports for supervisors, funders, and regulatory agencies.
- Maintain accurate participant records and documentation to support reporting and compliance.
- Assist with grant documentation, reporting, and renewal processes.
- Track program expenses in collaboration with the Director of Community Services.
- Identify opportunities for cost-effective programming, volunteer engagement, and in-kind support.
- Attend staff meetings, supervision sessions, trainings, and other organizational meetings as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Adult Education, Gerontology, Public Administration, Program Management, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in program coordination, adult education, workforce development, aging services, or a related field.
- Experience coordinating workshops, educational programming, events, or community-based initiatives.
- Experience supervising staff and/or volunteers preferred.
- Experience developing community partnerships and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience with program evaluation, data tracking, and reporting preferred.
- Strong understanding of issues affecting older adults, including retirement transitions, workforce participation, financial stability, and benefits access.
- Excellent organizational, project management, and multitasking skills.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, coordinate, and support instructors, guest speakers, and community partners.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, virtual meeting platforms, database systems, and digital communication tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively.

Compensation
The expected rate for this position is $49.45 per hour. This rate reflects the anticipated compensation at the time of this posting and may be adjusted based on experience, education, and organizational needs.
