Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced  Registered Nurse (RN) with Cardiac Cath Lab experience for a 13-week contract assignment in New York City. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced cardiac interventional environment while collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
• Prepare, monitor, and recover patients undergoing cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Assist physicians during cardiac catheterizations, angioplasty, stent placement, and other interventional procedures.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor hemodynamic status.
• Administer medications and conscious sedation per facility protocols.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations and changes in patient condition.
• Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain compliance with infection control, patient safety, and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience
• Telemetry experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience highly preferred
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Education

• BSN preferred
• Associate Degree in Nursing accepted with relevant experience or active BSN enrollment
