Control Measure Installation & Landscaping Laborer

We are seeking a hardworking and dependable Laborer to assist with erosion and sediment control (ESC) installations, stormwater control measures, and landscaping projects. The Laborer will work under the direction of the Foreman to install, maintain, and repair control measures while ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This position requires the ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in various weather conditions and work effectively as part of a team.

Laborer Responsibilities:

• Assist with the installation, maintenance, and removal of erosion and sediment control measures, including silt fence, wattles, inlet protection, sediment traps, and other stormwater best management practices (BMPs).
• Perform landscaping duties such as grading, seeding, mulching, planting, and stabilization activities.
• Follow project plans, specifications, and Foreman instructions to ensure proper installation methods are utilized.
• Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and light construction equipment safely and effectively.
• Assist with site preparation, excavation, trenching, and cleanup activities.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site while adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors regarding project progress and site conditions.
• Identify and report any safety concerns, equipment issues, or installation challenges to the Foreman.
• Support quality control efforts by ensuring installations meet project requirements and company standards.

Laborer Requirements:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Previous experience in construction, landscaping, erosion control, or related field preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical labor, including lifting 50+ pounds, standing, bending, kneeling, and working on uneven terrain.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to learn installation techniques and safety procedures related to erosion and sediment control.
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and follow directions.
• Strong work ethic, dependability, and attention to detail.
• OSHA 10 certification is a plus but not required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience operating skid steers, mini excavators, or other light construction equipment.
• Knowledge of erosion and sediment control practices and landscaping techniques.
• CDL license is a plus.
