About the Role Events are where Engine’s brand becomes a felt experience where decision-makers, supply partners, and customers move from knowing our name to living our ambition. We have a diverse set of product lines and business motions, and we need one leader who can make events a core part of how we reach everyone in Engine’s orbit. As Director of Events, you’ll own the entire events portfolio: Tier 1 conferences, decision-maker events, supply partner events, partner events, government programs, and our own first-party events for customers. You’ll lead with our brand, design experiences that match our ambitions, and build the playbooks that make every event a measurable, monetizable engine for growth. Your Mission Make Engine impossible to ignore in person. You’ll be obsessed with how we lead with our brand and how we turn rooms into momentum, thinking about scale in ways other companies can’t, and creating in-person moments that punch above their weight across every product line and motion. What You'll Own - The full events portfolio. Strategy, calendar, budget, and execution across every event type and every product line by creating a single, coherent program rather than a pile of one-offs. - Tier 1 conferences. How Engine shows up at the industry’s biggest stages: presence, activations, and moments that earn attention and outshine larger competitors.

- Decision-maker events. Intimate, high-intent experiences (dinners, salons, executive gatherings) designed to move the people who sign the deals. - Supply & partner events. Programs that deepen relationships with our supply partners and the broader partner ecosystem — reinforcing the Engine-only advantage that sets us apart. - Government & first-party events. Tailored programs for government audiences and flagship, branded first-party events that bring our customers into the Engine world. - Brand-led experience design. Ensure every event leads with the Engine brand and delivers an experience that matches our ambitions. Not generic booths and lanyards, but moments people talk about. - Scale through creativity. Find ways to reach more of the market, in more places, for every dollar. Thinking about footprint, formats, and reach in ways that don’t scale linearly with budget. Playbooks You'll Build - Attendee recruitment. Repeatable systems for filling every room with the right people. Targeting, invitation, and conversion motions built in partnership with growth, ABM, and sales. - Measurement. A rigorous framework for what an event is worth: leading indicators through to lagging outcomes. - Monetization. Models for sponsorships, supply and partner participation, and other ways events drive revenue outside of cost.
