You will be responsible for developing detailed drawings, specifications, and construction documentation that ensure the technical integrity and aesthetic quality of these vital public works. Key Responsibilities Develop detailed architectural drawings, construction documentation, and specifications for infrastructure projects. Translate engineering concepts and designs into practical and compliant architectural solutions. Coordinate architectural designs with various engineering disciplines, including structural, mechanical, and electrical. Ensure adherence to national building codes, standards, and project-specific technical requirements. Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and provide technical support. Review shop drawings and material submittals to ensure compliance with specifications. Assist in the preparation of project reports, tender documents, and presentations. Mentor junior technologists and contribute to the overall technical development of the architectural team. Requirements National Diploma or B.Tech in Architectural Technology or equivalent. Professional registration with the South African Institute of Architectural Technologists (SAIAT) or SACAP is advantageous. Minimum of 7 years of experience as an Architectural Technologist, with a focus on infrastructure or industrial projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant architectural software. Strong understanding of building materials, construction methods, and South African building regulations. Excellent technical drawing and detailing skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Experience with large-scale public sector projects is a plus.
