Senior Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

Job Description The 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician works under limited supervision to conduct major repairs on production and support equipment, HVAC equipment, boiler systems, fire protection systems, and building management systems. The role also involves first‑level knowledge of building electrical and water infrastructure. Compensation includes competitive hourly pay based on experience with shift differential, overtime, and performance bonus eligibility. Key Responsibilities Safely troubleshoot, repair, and inspect a variety of manufacturing equipment in both indoor and outdoor applications. Analyze and interpret one‑line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and sketches to select a logical approach to troubleshooting and testing circuits. Inspect, repair, install, and wire all electrical devices and circuits up to 480VAC. Maintain HVAC systems by diagnosing, repairing, and replacing fan motors, burners, and thermostats. Conduct routine water quality checks and perform water analysis as required. Monitor wastewater operations in coordination with outside contractors to ensure efficiency. Perform electrical troubleshooting and modify existing circuits as required. Work with test equipment and procedures; manage building management systems, fire protection systems, pumps, and alarm panels. Assist in training new maintenance technicians and support other specialized areas as needed. Adhere to all safety policies and maintain a safe and clean work area. Education & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Certifications from trade school or apprenticeship programs, and certified electrical knowledge, highly preferred. 5–8 years of experience with industrial machinery, electrical, building management, and facility systems. Competencies Ability to troubleshoot PLCs, replace units, load programs, and confirm operation. Read and interpret blueprints. Follow written and verbal instructions. Organize, prioritize, and multi‑task effectively. Strong verbal communication skills. Maintain spare parts inventory and coordinate with TPM Coordinator to build database/BOMS. Basic computer skills: Microsoft Office (Excel and Word). Physical Effort and Work Environment Frequent standing, walking, bending, pushing, and reaching. Frequent lifting up to 50pounds; maneuvering up to 100pounds with a dolly. Exposure to oil, noise, heat, and cold due to seasonal changes.
