Project Superintendent- Hickory

Company Profile Our client is seeking a qualified Project Superintendent to join their team. Our client is a large Hickory, NC based General Contractor that specializes in the construction of public facilities including schools, libraries, police & fire stations, parks, healthcare, parking garages, and other projects. They also build select projects for private clients. They specialize in negotiated projects utilizing the Construction Management @ Risk and Design Build delivery systems. Projects are located throughout Western North Carolina and typically range in size from 2 to 85 million dollars. Job Description The Superintendent is the company representative responsible for all field operations and subcontractor supervision. The Superintendent will work closely with the Project Manager and other project staff to ensure project success. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Coordinate construction activities among subcontractors and other involved parties. Ensure construction complies with the Construction Documents and has a strong knowledge of these documents. Supervise project safety, ensuring all workers follow safety requirements and the safety plan. Assess staffing needs of subcontractors and the field workforce. Ensure adequate supply of materials and equipment. Assist in establishing and monitoring the project schedule. Work with the Project Manager on site utilization, safety, and security plans. Monitor performance of all parties and ensure subcontractors provide sufficient workforce and hours. Ensure field work meets quality standards and is performed efficiently. Maintain a daily job log of activities and subcontractors. Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a field superintendent. Hands-on experience managing projects of $6 million or larger.
