Project Superintendent

Company Profile Our client is seeking a qualified Project Superintendent to join their team. Our client is a large Hickory, NC based General Contractor that specializes in the construction of public facilities including schools, libraries, police & fire stations, parks, healthcare, parking garages, and other projects. They also build select projects for private clients. They specialize in negotiated projects utilizing the Construction Management @ Risk and Design Build delivery systems. Projects are located throughout Western North Carolina and typically range in size from $2 million to $85 million. Job Description The Superintendent is the company representative responsible for all field operations and subcontractor supervision in the field. The Superintendent will work directly with the Project Manager and other project staff to ensure project success. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Coordinate construction activities among subcontractors and other involved parties. Ensure construction complies with the Construction Documents. Supervise project safety and ensure all workers adhere to safety requirements and plans. Assess staffing needs of subcontractors and field workforce. Ensure sufficient supply of materials and equipment. Help establish and monitor the project schedule. Develop and administer site utilization, safety, and security plans in collaboration with the Project Manager. Monitor performance against commitments and ensure adequate workforce and hours. Ensure field work meets quality standards and is performed efficiently. Maintain a daily log of activities and subcontractors on site. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience as a field superintendent. Hands-on experience managing projects of $6 million or larger. Strong organizational and leadership skills.
