Emergency Services TechnicianServiceMaster Restoration Services is seeking an experienced Emergency Services Technician to respond to emergency property damage situations including storm damage, fire damage, vandalism, and vehicle impacts. This position is responsible for roof tarping, emergency board-ups, water extraction, and securing damaged residential properties to prevent further loss. The ideal candidate is highly dependable, comfortable working at heights, experienced with roofing or construction, and able to work independently in emergency situations while maintaining professionalism with homeowners.Key ResponsibilitiesRespond to emergency service calls for roof tarping, board-ups, water extraction, and property securementInstall emergency roof tarps to prevent additional water intrusionPerform water extraction and initial emergency mitigation services when neededBoard up windows, doors, garage openings, and structural openingsAssess damaged structures and determine safest temporary stabilization methodsLoad, transport, and install required materials and equipmentMaintain emergency response vehicle inventory including tarps, plywood, lumber, fasteners, ladders, extraction equipment, and toolsDocument job conditions with photos and communicate findings to managementIdentify opportunities for additional mitigation or reconstruction servicesAssist with demolition or mitigation when neededFollow all safety protocols including ladder, roof, and fall-protection requirementsParticipate in rotating after-hours emergency response scheduleQualificationsValid driver's license with clean driving record3+ years of roofing, construction, restoration, or related field experience preferredAbility to safely lift 100+ poundsComfortable working on ladders, steep roofs, and elevated surfacesExperience using construction tools including saws, drills, and fastening equipmentAbility to work in various weather conditions including heat, rain, and coldStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independentlyExcellent communication and customer service skillsPreferred QualificationsRoofing experienceRestoration industry experienceOSHA 10 or safety trainingLeadership or crew lead experienceWork ScheduleStandard schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMParticipation in after-hours emergency on-call rotation requiredMust be able to respond to emergency calls within 30 minutes to 2 hoursCandidate should reside in or near Marietta, GeorgiaCompensationCompetitive hourly pay based on experience $50 emergency response bonus for each qualifying after-hours emergency call Double-time pay for emergency response work performed after 5:30 PM on weekdays and anytime on weekends After-hours on-call compensation Overtime opportunitiesCompensation: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour IICRC
