Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg Location: O'Fallon, Illinois. Unit: Memorial Belleville In‑Patient Surgical 1 Center. Employment type: Staff. Duration: Ongoing. Shift: FT Nights. Sign‑On Bonus: Up to $15,000. Salary: Competitive Pay (see career ladder). BSN Differential and shift differential. Benefits: Eligible. Job Summary Provides direct patient care activities in line with nursing care standards, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsibilities Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment. Educates patients and families on illness or injury management, including post‑treatment home care needs and medication administration. Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance. Participates in professional development. Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with interprofessional team and patient/family/caregiver. Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care. Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs. Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotions, spirituality, culture, and population specific needs. Maintains constant state of alertness and performs in a safe manner – position is safety‑sensitive. Minimum Requirements Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree. Experience: No experience required. Licenses & Certifications: RN. Preferred Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
