Maintenance Technician IICadrex is searching for a Maintenance Technician II to perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery, facility equipment, and physical structures according to safety and preventive maintenance systems and processes.Key Responsibilities:Perform highly diversified duties in maintaining production machines and the plant facility's equipmentDevelop work instructions for production and facility's equipment helping to build a preventive maintenance systemUse a variety of hand and power tools and electric multimetersAbility to use computers proficientlyPerform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of equipment, machines, and facilitiesInstalls new production machinery and equipmentVisually inspects and listens to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctionsDiagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests, and adjustsDetects faulty operations, defective materials or/or equipment and reports as requiredDismantles machines and equipment to gain access to problem areaInspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problemsProvides emergency service and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs to production equipment during machine serviceStarts machines and equipment to test operation following repairRepairs broken parts, replaces defective parts and motors, belts, and adjusts feed mechanismsConnects wire to motors, fixtures, and other electrical equipment, replaces switches and fuses, and splices wire and insulates wire with friction tapePerforms regular preventative maintenance on machines and equipmentPatches or replaces plaster/plaster board and paints walls, ceilings, and trim of buildingsMay be required to use personal vehicle at times for work assignmentsPreferred Qualifications:3+ years' experience may be substituted in lieu of degreeDemonstrated electronics knowledge and variety of hand tools, ability to understand mechanical processes, possess electronics knowledge, and possess a basic knowledge of hydraulicsPrevious experience in a machine shop performing maintenance mechanic duties preferredAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance and/or repair instructions and manuals, and procedure manualsDemonstrated ability to read electrical schematicsEducation:Associate/Technical degree in related field preferred.Location:OnsiteSchedule:M-F; 7:00am - 3:30pmWork Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock.
