• Location: Candidates must reside in Pontiac or nearby areas in Illinois. Homeownership or rental is required; available counties include: Ford, Grundy, Kankakee, Kendall, LaSalle, Livingston, Marshall, McLean, Will, and Woodford.
• Role: You will invite an individual with an intellectual disability to live with you full-time, integrating them into your household and family life.
• Estimated Annual Earnings: Around $33,000 (tax-exempt at the federal level) plus monthly contributions for rent and household expenses.
• Opportunity to work from home.
• Continuous training and team support provided.

Each individual is unique, and your responsibilities may encompass:

• Assisting with daily living skills such as cooking, budgeting, cleaning, and decision-making.
• Helping with medication management and attending medical appointments.
• Encouraging community involvement and fostering a sense of belonging.
• Providing transportation and support for daily activities as necessary.
• Keeping records and maintaining communication with the support team.
• Empowering individuals to build confidence, gain independence, and pursue personal aspirations.

Depending on the individual's specific needs, support may also involve:

• Help with personal care tasks.
• Behavioral support.
• Medical or physical assistance.
• Specialized care and monitoring.

Creating a sense of belonging begins with having the right support. Here’s what you can expect:

• Comprehensive initial and ongoing training.
• Dedicated assistance from a knowledgeable team.
• Resources and guidance throughout the matching process.
• Support with licensing and program requirements.
• Continuous partnership and assistance.

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Current residency in Illinois is required (due to state funding regulations).
• Must own or rent a home, apartment, condo, or townhouse.
• Active homeowner’s or renter’s insurance is necessary.
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and current vehicle insurance are required.
• Access to the internet and basic computer skills are essential.
• Ability to complete necessary screenings, background checks, and training.
• Must be a registered healthcare worker (Direct Support Professional).
