Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit Contract Opportunity

Responsibilities:

• Deliver expert nursing care for patients with complex, acute health needs transitioning from intensive care.
• Monitor vital signs, assess symptoms, and promptly communicate changes in patient status to physicians and the multidisciplinary team.
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform advanced procedures as required for PCU/Stepdown standards.
• Educate patients and families on condition management, discharge planning, and ongoing care best practices.
• Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize patient outcomes and ensure a positive care experience.

Qualifications:

• Valid and current RN license.
• Experience in a Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting required.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.
• Familiarity with advanced cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and post-ICU care protocols.
• Proficient in EMR documentation.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
