HR Generalist Full Time Employee Miami, FL, US JOB DESCRIPTION Title : Human Resource Generalist Reports to : Vice President, Human Resources POSITION OVERVIEW The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing comprehensive HR support to employees and leaders across the corporate office and assigned operational bases. This role serves as the primary point of contact for day-to-day human resources matters, including employee relations, performance management support, policy administration, onboarding, compliance, and employee engagement. Working closely with the HR Business Partner, the HR Generalist executes HR initiatives, ensures consistent application of company policies, and helps build a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace. This position requires regular interaction with remote employees and operational leaders in a fast-paced aviation environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide day-to-day Human Resources support to the corporate office and assigned operational bases by serving as the primary resource for employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment-related matters. Administer the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employment changes, leaves of absence, offboarding, HRIS data management, conducting exit interviews, and maintaining accurate and confidential employee records. Manage routine employee relations matters by conducting investigations, resolving workplace concerns, preparing performance and corrective action documentation, and escalating complex or high-risk issues to the HRBP as appropriate. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements through consistent administration of HR processes, documentation, and recordkeeping. Develop collaborative relationships with employees and leaders across multiple locations through regular communication and periodic travel to operational bases, ensuring consistent delivery of HR services. Assist with HR reporting, audits, process improvements, special projects, and other Human Resources initiatives to support departmental and organizational objectives. KILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience. Experience handling employee relations matters independently. Experience supporting multi-site or geographically dispersed workforces preferred. Aviation, transportation, logistics, healthcare, or similarly regulated industry experience is a plus. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
