Estimator Position

The estimator position provides customer proposals in accordance with the specifications provided and industry standards. While meeting company timelines and profitability objectives.

Essential Functions of the Position:

• Review customer inquiries for quotes from both commercial and technical perspectives.
• Review Vendor Documentation Requirements (VDR) and customer specifications.
• Timely preparation of proposals to meet customer specifications.
• Facilitate customer requests and changes regarding scope, delivery, and commercial aspects.
• Follow up on proposals prepared to evaluate effectiveness and success.
• Establish new customer relationships through strategic networking activities.
• Continuous tracking of projects from inception to their successful completion.
• Collaborate with purchasing, engineering, and manufacturing departments.
• Work as customer liaison during project development.
• Establish and maintain vendor and customer relationships.
• Analytical review of all closed projects/proposals for accuracy and profitability.
• Comply with all Feldmeier safety and Company policies and Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2-year degree or equivalent sales experience
• Strong communication skills
• Willingness to travel
• Excellent analytical and mathematical abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or finance
• Background in engineering or manufacturing

Physical Requirements:

• Required to sit, stand, and walk; for up to 8 hours per day.
• Continuous use of the hand, arm, and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to communicate professionally, in written and oral communications.
• Ability to work in a stressful high output environment
