Network Advancement Associate

TheAmerican Constitution Society for Law and Policy (ACS) is the nation’s foremost progressive legal organization, with a diverse nationwide network that includes nearly 250 student and lawyer chapters, and progressive lawyers, students, judges, scholars, elected officials, and advocates. ACS has an immediate opening for a Network Advancement Associate to manage ACS’s growing network and support the overall work of the Department of Network Advancement. ACS chapters are not only the lifeblood of ACS, but a tailor‑made infrastructure for sharing ideas, testing theories, and gathering diverse inputs. RESPONSIBILITIES

This Network Advancement Associate will perform a wide variety of administrative tasks in support of the Department of Network Advancement (DNA). The DNA team supports the work of over 250 ACS Student and Lawyer Chapters around the country, the growth of affinity‑based working groups, ongoing volunteer projects in collaboration with coalition partners, and DNA’s work on expanding and strengthening ACS’s national network. Work will include event scheduling and support; communications with network members; editing and drafting descriptions for chapter events; reviewing and tracking chapter programming; facilitating Zoom and Teams based programming; and data entry and database management. The Associate will also provide substantive support on conferences and other large‑scale events. Evening work is sometimes required for specific events, but weekend work is limited to major conferences once or twice per year.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Desired qualities and background include: A commitment to work a one‑year minimum term. A strong commitment to ACS’s mission. Ability to work independently. Ability to manage a number of diverse projects and budget time accordingly. Excellent interpersonal skillsand an ability to work collaboratively on a team. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in social media platforms, basic knowledge of SEO, and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. HTML and Salesforce experience is a plus. Location Washington, D.C., preferred but not required. BENEFITS and COMPENSATION The salary range is $45,000 to $50,000, depending on experience. Paid holiday, vacation, and sick leave.
