Logistics Coordinator

Our client, a growing and fast-paced organization in the Knoxville area, is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join their operations team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys problem-solving, and has a strong background in transportation, shipping, scheduling, and supply chain coordination. The Logistics Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring products are delivered efficiently and on time while maintaining exceptional communication with carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Responsibilities Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery of goods Schedule and track transportation activities with carriers and freight providers Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays, discrepancies, or transportation issues Maintain accurate shipping documentation, records, and inventory reports Communicate regularly with suppliers, customers, warehouses, and internal departments Analyze logistics data and provide updates on delivery performance and shipping costs Assist with inventory planning and replenishment activities Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company procedures Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred 2+ years of logistics, transportation, supply chain, or operations experience Strong knowledge of shipping, freight coordination, and inventory management practices Experience working with ERP, WMS, or transportation management systems preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities Strong verbal and written communication skills Benefit offerings include PTO, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, and 401K plan.
