Apprentice Plumber

Ameresco has a new opportunity for an Apprentice Plumber with a strong mechanical aptitude and desire to learn to join our Federal Operations and Maintenance team based in Anchorage, Alaska . Responsibilities Install, maintain, test, and repair plumbing and HVAC mechanical systems, related piping systems, and control valves in accordance with plumbing codes. Maintain customer satisfaction and exceed customers' expectations. Keep up with book work and testing for the apprentice program. Travel to remote locations for extended periods of time to support construction operations. Perform related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or the equivalent is required. Experience or interest in commercial plumbing service and installation. Working toward Journeyman's Plumbers certification. Additional Qualifications Completion of trade school or vocational high school diploma desired. Self‑starter who can work in a team environment and follow verbal instructions. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, etc.). Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi‑task, follow through, and meet deadlines. Physical ability to bend, reach, climb, and lift 45+ lbs. without assistance. Willing to work flexible hours and days (e.g., up to 12‑hour days and/or weekends). Must be able to travel to remote locations, drive, pass a drug test, and pass a background check.
