Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) – Full Time

Citrus Dialysis Center is seeking a motivated and compassionate Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) to join our dedicated dialysis team!

⭐ POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

Position: Certified Hemodialysis Technician
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday | 4:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay: $25+ per hour, depending on experience
Overtime: Time-and-a-half after 8 hours worked
Health Insurance: Available after 1 month from date of hire
Additional Benefits: Available after 90 days

POSITION SUMMARY

The Certified Hemodialysis Technician provides direct patient care and performs dialysis-related duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician and in accordance with applicable California laws, regulations, and facility policies.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior patient care, healthcare, or medical experience preferred
• Current California-certified Patient Care Technician/Hemodialysis Technician certification
• Current CPR certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing excellent patient care
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Initiate, monitor, and terminate hemodialysis treatments under RN supervision
• Prepare dialysis equipment, dialyzers, and delivery systems according to established procedures
• Monitor dialysis equipment for proper functioning and report concerns promptly
• Assess assigned patients before, during, and after treatment and report changes in condition to the RN
• Provide safe, compassionate, and respectful patient care
• Document patient care and treatment information accurately
• Draw ordered blood samples from arterial or venous bloodlines as directed
• Perform clotting times during treatment or as needed and report results to the RN
• Perform appropriate cleaning and disinfection of dialysis equipment and treatment areas
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for patients
• Follow all facility policies, procedures, infection-control practices, and safety standards
• Assist with stocking supplies and maintaining an organized treatment area
• Participate in staff meetings, in-service education, and required training programs
• Perform other patient-care and clinical duties as assigned by the Charge Nurse or Director of Nursing
