Media Center Paraprofessional
Six point seven five hours per day, five days per week. Performs skilled administrative support work assisting students in the media center with resources and equipment, maintaining various records and reports, troubleshooting materials or patron records, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the direction of the STEM&M Teacher. This position commences upon hire. Manages the daily use and activities of the media center, assists with selection of materials and the enforcement of a climate conductive to learning; checks materials in and out for students. Tracks books, reference materials, and users of the media center; processes media materials; manages the location and records of materials or patrons. Assists the teacher and students with various media center tasks and learning activities. Assists with the maintenance and cleanliness of the media center facilities, equipment, and materials. Assists with managing media center inventory.
